Welcome to the Davis Digital Storytelling Challenge Winners’ Showcase!
Our 2007–2008 Story Challenge has ended and we have our winners! As part of the Davis Digital Storytelling Workshop students participated in the Story Challenge submitting a short two minute video about a personal story involving an object, a person, an event, or a place that profoundly impacted them or someone they knew.
The Davis Digital Storytelling Workshop was created to provide students with an opportunity to learn and demonstrate 21st Century Skills, and to teach them about how storytelling is a part of being human, no matter what century you live in. Click on the 'Digital Stories' link above to view the winning entries.
What are digital stories?
Digital stories are like miniature movies created by people about their lives. Anyone of any age can learn to write a script, record his or her voice, and combine it with pictures, video, and music to tell his or her story. Instead of watching stories on TV, people can share their own stories. Thousands of people have already made digital stories of their own by participating in workshops all over the world.
